Experience an unforgettable and magical adventure as you set out to admire the enchanting Northern Lights in the heart of Lapland. Our driver will pick you up in the evening from Levi Zero Point (Hissitie 8) and guide you through the Arctic night using local knowledge to find the very best spots for spotting this breathtaking natural wonder.
We will visit 2–3 carefully chosen locations to chase and admire the Northern Lights’ mesmerizing dance across the sky. One of the highlights is a stop at the top of Levi Fell, where you can capture stunning photos of the Arctic wilderness and its serene, snow-covered landscapes. Here, far away from light pollution, you will truly feel the magic of Lapland’s wilderness and the mystery of the dark northern skies. On clear nights, the aurora may reveal its dazzling beauty, while you can also enjoy stargazing and spotting constellations. Along the way, we’ll pause to warm up with a hot drink at a cozy stop. The Magic of the Aurora Borealis
The Northern Lights are a breathtaking natural phenomenon created by solar activity and the interaction between the Earth’s magnetic field and the atmosphere.
In Finnish folklore, the word revontulet (Northern Lights) comes from the ancient belief in the “fire fox” (tulikettu). As the magical fox runs across the fells, its tail sweeps against the snow, sending sparks into the sky that ignite the colorful lights above. Another legend says that if a couple sees their first Northern Lights together, their love will last forever.
